Basic Electricity Training Series
                                Brodhead Garrett / Frey Resources
These mostly self-contained units provide your students with the fundamental knowledge and skills required to grasp the working concepts of electricity with extensions into electronics. We present a wide selection of elementary trainers to fit a multitude of requirements and needs from basic demonstration boards to multi-day/year long  curriculums. The components are held on the work surface with hook and loop velcro with connections between components made with alligator clip leads. These units feature quality wooden enclosures (except 12589880 which is plastic) for storage and portability. Each training system includes one student manual. Additional copies available.

Elementary Electricity Trainer
Provides the necessary power supply and parts for a first exposure to electricity in a hands-on fashion. The unit is self-contained with a 6VAC power supply and a diode to convert the 6VAC to unfiltered 6VDC. All the materials required to complete the manual are mounted on  lexan-faced printed circuit board.

The unit has two resistors, three 6V lamps and sockets, a DC motor, a buzzer, DPST and SPST switches, a PBNO, PBNC and the DC diode, along with the step-down transformer that converts 115 VAC, 50/60 Hz to 6VAC nominal.

Interconnection between parts is accomplished using double-ended alligator clip leads, which are included. The unit plugs into any standard 115 VAC outlet. Includes a student lab manual/ text that has a brief explanation of each experiment, followed by the experiment details and then review questions. Some of the experiments are explanations only of electrical concepts, most of which could be performed with the trainer by purchasing an optional digital voltmeter. Some of the 40 experimental areas covered are: Magnetism and Electro-magnetism, Electric Circuits, Motors and the Buzzer, Insulators and Conductors, Series Circuits and Parallel Circuits, Batteries and the Current Meter, Series Resistance and Parallel Resistance, Variable Resistors and Switching Circuits, Use of a Galvanometer, Current and Motor Speed Control, Diodes as DC Switches, Dual Mode Lamp Switch, Resistor Dissipation, Voltage Drop, Series Resistors, Computer Logic, Circuits, Power Supply Regulation.
