Brodhead Garrett Introductory Electronics Training Series
These largely self-contained units provide your students with the fundamental knowledge and skills required to expand their understanding of electricity into electronics. Presented is a selection of electronics trainers to fit a multitude of course  requirements. The components are held on the work surface with Velcro hook and loop. Connections between components are made with alligator clip leads. These units feature quality wooden casework for storage and publicity. Each training system includes one student manual set. Additional copies available on request.

BG5D Exploratory Electricity and Electronics
Description:
The BG5D is a self-contained unit which begins with the most basic concepts of Electricity and proceeds to a survey look at Electronics that includes the use of such everyday devices as an integrated circuit amplifier and a photocell.

The Student Lab manual contains 150 experiments, each of which is fully detailed and all details of which can be fully performed using the BG5D as a self-contained power supply and dual meter measuring set up.

Technical Specifications:
The unit is complete with a comprehensive experimental manual that includes:
Objectives-List of Parts Required
Procedure with Illustrated Schematics, Pictorial Schematic, and Review Questions.

The BG5D case contains:
  • Full 15 VDC Power Supply, fully protected and metered for Voltage and Current
  • DC Voltmeter for 0 to 15 VDC, for internal and external metering
  • DC Milliammeter for 0 to 150 mA, for internal and external metering
  • 6 VAC Power Supply
  • Speaker with Input terminals
  • Integrated Circuit Audio Amplifier-1/2 Watt

All parts in unit are stored on etched metal trays and are protected against normal mistakes that a student occasionally might make.

Features:
The Meters and Power Supply are diode and overload protected and current-limited. A DPDT switch associated with each digital meter provides for direct connection to the 15 VDC Power Supply merely by placing the switch in the internal position.

The Integrated Circuit Amplifier is Zener and diode protected and it is a full operating amplifier similar to that used in commercial portable power amplifiers.

The experimental parts can be repaired and maintained in the classroom, since they are soldered in place. All parts are secured as necessary with Velcro and pads on the work surface.

The power panel is in color for long life and easy maintenance. It measures 7"H x 8"W , 1/8"thick.
